:') you've done so much for me already :') how will I ever repay you?!?!?

And she falls to her knees at his* feet, showering kisses again and again on his richly bronzed hands.  Looking for the briefest second up through her tears into his deeply understanding eyes, she cries, 'How shall I ever repay you?  You, who have done so much for me!'  He gazes silently down at her bowed figure as the darkness enfolds them.

*except that I'm a girl

But nah seriously, I drove past this house for sale in Templestowe that I quite liked and wouldn't mind having for a Christmas present.  I'll PM you the address.

thanks :) will definitely consider it then!

As aforementioned, obviously if you get a 45+ SS in your subject then that means you've worked hard and you are really intelligent, but if you even get <45, or even <40 this does not mean you have no idea about the subject. I am pretty certain I well deserved a 40+ for Methods and Specialist, ended up with 38 and 36 respectively, but guess what? I still tutor in both of the subjects and I couldn't care less if the students wanted a tutor with >45, it is honestly their loss because I can assure you that I am very knowledgable in maths, and I really enjoy it.

So in short, by all means go out and tutor, make an ad and I will also support it because I know that you are dedicated and intelligent. Also, it only takes 1 student for the word of mouth to spread, so if you are truely passionate about the subject, then just wait for the right student who will share your name to their mates, and then you will be known. gl xD
2016-2019: Bachelor of Biomedicine
2015: VCE (ATAR: 94.85)

agreed. Even with tuition, the usefulness of your SS and ATAR decline with years. After say 2 or 3 years, people are going to be more interested in the results of your students.

So if you know you're better than your result, don't let it stop you! :)

So I've done it. The mightiest of mighty screw ups- I got an MMI interview today and carelessly forgot my L plates ID was hole punched after getting my ps. I now have only a temporary p plate licence with no photo, that L plate ID, and a student card that had somewhat faded.. With passport at home way away ~4ish hours. Is this adequate and will they stop me from taking the interview? :/

I'm at the venue now (for other reasons), get there early (asap) to sort it out. The staff are very friendly and I'm sure they can organise something! Bring anything with your name and photo on it, in addition to what you have so far. Good luck :)

Hey guys...is anyone having conflicting arguments with parents about what they're gonna do in 2016??
It seems like they're so against me doing anything (we keep having constant arguments) and to make it worse, I'm still upset about ATAR :'(

How'd you go in the end? Hope you did well (probably smashed it in the end)!

I wouldn't say conflicting arguments but more like one-on-one talk with Mum and Dad individually and together about what I wanted to do in university and to stamp out wrong ideas my parents had about specific courses that I was choosing from (Biomed or Law)...  just keep it up and if they realise you know what you're doing then you should be fine in the end! As for ATAR well I haven't told them my score nor do they know about it from others  :P

Don't wanna say as it's pretty low but still enough to get into my dream course/first preference :)

They demanded to know my ATAR...because I was so upset with it I decided to tell them I got something WAY lower than what I really got (lol) just to piss them off and they ended up getting really angry so I confessed and they made me log in in front of them :(

Parents are so annoying. They seriously think whatever I do or want to do in life is wasting time and could be doing other things instead...:/
I mean, it's my life and not theirs?!

I already got an offer from interstate but I deferred it and that's what they're pissed about.

Tough love by your parents... but you just have to stick to your guns and know what you're doing with your life because their views are most likely to be outdated etc. so you just have to persevere since their "anger" at you won't go on forever.

Angry that you deferred placement interstate? Probably a knee-jerk reaction but just wait till the 18th and they'll be fine with it (unless you intend to go interstate that is).
