hahaha i feel this :)

hey can anyone confirm this for me, cos im not 50 000% sure.
so say you are rank 1,
and you do an exam and you do wellishy
but a lot of other people in your (weakishy) cohort stuff it
INCLUDING the rank 2 who has similar grades to you/maybe equal rank one with you
does that screw you over as well????
please help.i will be infinitely grateful. not sleeping right worried over this :( and i dont want to be disappointed on monday without time to mentally prepare myself for disappoint.

you will not be dragged down. your exam score will always be your own. If you are rank one, then your SAC marks should be moved up or down according to who ever got the highest score in your cohort, it is then put into a complex maths model to work out your scaled sac score.
I think this is how it works correct me if im wrong.

Can your school sign the Age form for you? Because our year 11's this year (me being one of them) didn't hear anything about it this year...

well legally speaking wouldn't they need the actual signature from you?

It's not an actual form from the Age/Herald Sun you sign but an official form that VCAA send out which you have to sign and all. Every student doing a VCE subject (being 1&2 and 3&4) would have had to fill this form out though in Year 11 you'd most likely just checked your details are correct (Personal Details etc.) and then signed to say 'Yes' I want my name to be published in the newspaper if I get a score over 40.

Which newspaper is printing it this time? Both? One?

Pretty sure it's both every year (like last year it was both newspapers):
The Age
Herald Sun

And if you're into the old VCE scores (archive from 1998 to 2013 for 40+ scores [reason why I don't want it to be published since it just stays there LOL]) then you have Quppa too!

Are you guys being serious about your family like wanting to open your results with you and counting down? That's kinda awesome to me hahah. I was just gonna log in to the website on the morning but I realised I won't be home monday morning probably so I signed up for the text. And I'll probably just text my parents how I went or call them they won't care too much.

I did tick the box for the age and that and I get why some of you wouldn't want to be stalked but secretly i look forward to stalking everyone i know in there  ;D

I guess if I don't get 40+ for my 3&4s, I can always settle down for the "I didn't give permission for my name to be published" excuse :D

Thank me later ;)

I think that's what most people who were hoping for a 40+, but didn't end getting one do haha. Because I didn't give permission to get published, people won't believe me if I do get 40+ apart from people at school maybe lol. It’s okay though there have been people in my school who did really well (99.90+) who apparently didn't give permission to get published.

So if I didn't opt to get published, i won't feature in some of the creepy stalking sites like quppa and top scores vce, right?

Also do any of you guys have to go to school on the days after results come out?

Yeah some people will judge you for 'only' getting a 40.
