From what I've heard it's useless, you're better off giving your body the rest it needs. Anyway, if you get home from school at like 4 that gives you around 5 hours of solid study, plus a free period at school and maybe more if you get up early. Plenty of time in the day if you are efficient, it's all about minimising distractions not staying up later

Dunno, can always study more I guess. Heard it gives you more focus in SACs/exams and then you minimise mistakes.

I agree with this.

There's no real need for it. I am lucky(?) to know many people who did well in VCE, don't think many of them even drank coffee let alone took things like No Doz (which is essentially just caffeine). The harsh reality is that VCE isn't actually /that/ intense. Most people get 8 hours of sleep, most people only need to study a maximum of 3 hours on weekdays, most people have the time to do a lot of their homework during school hours

With that in mind, I really do suggest staying away from anything like this for now. I know people who started off with one cup of coffee, then two, then three, etc. They sleep less  and have more time, but they just procrastinate more. Prioritise your time better :)

Dunno, can always study more I guess. Heard it gives you more focus in SACs/exams and then you minimise mistakes.

It's not an ADHD medication :P

VCE is definitely not worth any potential damage you may cause to your body,

In fairness, No Doz is just essentially caffeine (the stuff found in coffee, coke, energy drinks), he's not suggesting taking up speed :P But I agree with the sentiment, best to keep things as natural as possible, after a while the body demands more No Doz for it to have the same effect which can culminate in an addiction. That isn't good.

Has anyone here actually filled out all their course preferences? I've got 4 down that I'm happy with, but after that I don't know what else to put. My teachers are saying aim for around 8 but I have no idea what other courses i could put down. Also, can we ask teachers to write Statements of Support for us?
