I try to do 4 a day - usually 2 english and 2 of either further, methods, chem, physics.

Look at it like a day job really. Working 8-9 hours isn't that much in the grand scheme of things given the 4 month holiday after exams.

good way to put it into perspective, I still struggle though :s

Two English?! 6 essays in a day? That's actually superhuman
Good job!

(English for me is by far the most taxing subject)

Mate I spent 6 hours per essay during the holidays...
By my calculations, if I work for 36 hours a day I'll do 2 exams hahaha

I don't think I've ever managed to finish an essay under an hour without that magical adrenaline you get in a sac or when properly timing yourself

Relying on that second gear on the day ahaha

It's impossible to sit at home for 3 hours 15 mins straight with so many more distractions. You can stop to get a drink, snack, go to the toilet, etc. In comparison to being in the actual exam, where you are 'locked' in an exam hall and everyone around you is working, I find it so much harder. That being said, I've still done ~3-4 English exams with proper timing because my school realises this fact.

All my faith is in the magic adrenaline^

Can confirm this is a thing, have never written faster in my life. You get totally in the zone. Didn't even notice the kid who was apparently crying throughout the exam (unfortunately this does happen, but not to you guys!).

That's so true, I use to struggle with getting an essay done under an hour and I seriously thought that it would be impossible to do so in the exam. But during the trial exam for English, I literally felt a rush of adrenaline and was easily able to complete the three essays in the allocated time and it seriously wasn't that bad. So I'm hoping for the same in the exam haha...

AHAHAHA no I wish.

I meant two essays, not exams themselves (for example today I did one text response and one language analysis).

I agree with you about the draining part, I get through most exams fine but after English I can't be stuffed.

I think this also goes towards subjects that require you to minimise mistakes.

For example in further, where the biggest challenge is not fucking anything up, I lose quite a few marks at home because I'm distracted and careless. But once you get into exam mindset I find that it focuses you on the work and you forget about your phone/facebook etc.

You can speak and write in 3 different languages... That's amazing! What languages specifically?

I regret not learning my family's cultural language. (well, i can kind of speak it, but i definitely cannot write nor read it).

wow that's awesome! if you don't mind me asking, why didn't you do them in VCE? If your school didn't have them there's always distance ed or VSL (is that what it's called idk)

i can't speak or write either of my family's languages, I guess I can blame my parents for only ever speaking to me in English though hahah
