Agreed with Alter! Not residential interviews but for my upcoming scholarship interviews, they just said smart casual so just a smart shirt and non-daggy jeans should do the trick!
Good luck Splash-Tackle-Flail (tell us how you go in the end)! :)

Oh yeah the residential interviews went really really well! The one at Queens seemed a bit more formal than the Mannix one, but they both are really friendly. At Queens they started out with basic details (e.g. confirming things on the application), and stuff like what sports you do, then they move on to questions about your values, why you choose this college etc, and yeah it gets a bit weird (honestly felt like a casual LOTE general conversation, like they asked who inspired me, and a time of challenge), and then they give you some scenarios like what my opinion on alcohol is, or balancing work with social things. But even though some questions were hard to answer, I think just responding on instinct makes it a lot easier. With Mannix, they were a lot more casual with their questions, and was more just explaining how they work.

Something else is that afterwards both ask if you have any questions- good opportunity to show enthusiasm and what not!

How was the scholarship interview?

Dumped off a fresh load of books at school today but I've been preoccupied by work since I'm now able to work school hours ^_^

But in the mean time I've been scouting gifts for postponed eighteenths due to exams whilst slowly getting back into shape LOL

How about you Alter?

Oh yeah the residential interviews went really really well! The one at Queens seemed a bit more formal than the Mannix one, but they both are really friendly. At Queens they started out with basic details (e.g. confirming things on the application), and stuff like what sports you do, then they move on to questions about your values, why you choose this college etc, and yeah it gets a bit weird (honestly felt like a casual LOTE general conversation, like they asked who inspired me, and a time of challenge), and then they give you some scenarios like what my opinion on alcohol is, or balancing work with social things. Very nice to hear that and glad to see that you're applying for Mannix with the new upgrades just finished (I've only personally stayed at Farrer Hall which was so-so) but it looks good whenever I pass it on my way to school LOL xD

And Monash Access Interview was a different from what I expected (was a bit too casual for my liking) but basically there was four stations and you'd have 2.5 minutes at each station answering questions on social inclusion, problem solving etc. and it was a bit iffy at the start but afterwards you'd get on a roll so my first station was pretty bad but by the end I thought I'd leveled it out in the end!

Sounds splendid. Monash love their station interviews aha.

I've just been doing vineyard work for the most part as well as playing a few video games that are a bit past their expiry date. Also visited my girlfriend today and got spoiled with gifts, so my holidays are pretty great so far.

What sport/fitness are you doing to get back into shape?

Yay this thread is alive again! :D

ok, i think i'll just try and stay positive :) :) there's still a chance!
same with exercise and shopping haha :) i've started running and walking long distance again. I have a treadmill so it's a bit easier for me! But yeah its either that or buying make up. and obsessing over my skin care routine. and losing myself in the depths of reddit!! what do you like shopping for, appleandbee???

Also, I get that there's a general no talk consensus which i'm cool with, but generally how is everyone feeling about it??? my personality is quite excited haha, so i've been trying really hard not to panic, mostly i'm really curious to know my GAT scores - especially because i felt the maths was a lot harder for me this year!! Trying to stay positive!!
