Woop woop.
I did France Section A
Question one: Failed attempts at reform, I pretty much spoke about the Assembly of Notables, Estates General, Neckers two dismissals, failure for the King to adequately recognise the cahiers- (it's what they did not say that was pivotal in rev), and then I spoke about Great Fear briefly.
Question two: Attack on Bastille, pretty much stated the obvious. The revolts, Great Fear, violence, despotism, emblematising of the Bastille, rise of san culottes yadda yadda. It was straight forward.
AOS2 However was a bit tricky. I just mentioned the obvious for the first questions and Robespierre's downfall, then on the historiography question I spoke about Marat, Lafayette, Robespierre and how they were treating the people poorly which ultimately led to their downfall and thus the terror made the people see the truth. I think I scored badly on it though, wasn't cohesive in my opinion. I'm hoping everyone else found it hard, better marks.
Russia Section B
Provisional Government question was a pain, but easy enough. June Offensive, Kerensky, Kornilov all the rest. The evaluate question was inaccurate because the source presented an inadequate historical view on that point in time.
And then the essay was just going through the events of 1917-1924, war communism didn't improve lives of russian people, etc, etc.
How did you all find those questions?
