How did everyone find today's exam?

I thought most of it was quite accessible, apart from some of the stupid telephone questions.
Quite liked the MC as well as the vector, complex and dynamics questions.

Haven't realised any stupid mistakes yet but I'm sure I will in time.

Mod Edit: Please use this thread as your avenue for discussion of the first specialist mathematics examination. Also, please take note of the following:

A reminder to all students this thread is for examination discussion NOT for study score predictions. If you wish to have a score predicted please reply in this thread or make a topic here.

I am thinking I got Between 60-69/80 (accounting for 9 questions wrong for MC, just in case) Yeah that telephone question had some pretty darn weird values, So i think the majority of the cohort with lose atleast SOME type of marks from that. Apart from that, a few silly mistakes here and there (I knew that the m's could cancel for the last question, but I set up the equation wrong-__-) Otherwise very accessible exam :)

looking at 77 or 78 however i have not looked at solutions. not sure if easier than last year or just feels it to me but many in my cohort felt it was easy/we went well.  hopefully a+ is no more than 75/80

I thought it was of average difficulty and roughly akin to the other VCAA Specialist Maths Exam 2s. I managed to answer everything except for one part of the telephone question (the second derivative) but I know I've made a couple of silly errors as well. I'm expecting a raw result better than my Methods result though.

Which questions do you think were hard?

I thought it was easy and I got less than 30/40 on exam 1...

Not hard per se, but would be "less accessible" such as the d2N/dt2 one (which I screwed up too). Like the method isn't hard, implicit diff both sides and sub in dN/dt and other relevant stuff, but a lot of the people in my class couldn't get that question.

So actually I meant that I went bad coz I made silly errors so glad I had 10min at the end to double check and found a few (had N=mg at one point... lol =\) but from the general vibe of my class was that they felt it was a harder exam.

Actually I kinda liked it haha coz there was a nice balance with a lot of straight forward accessible problems. MC was pretty nice too
