Language Analysis help!!

Hey guys this might have been asked before, not sure, but soon I have a language analysis exam coming. I know how to analysis an article, but I need help on how to structure the visual analysis of an article. Alright, who am I kidding, I have no idea on how to start with the visual analysis  :( If you guys could just help me, that'd be great and I would really appreciate it!!
