Important topics/content that you know may pop up in the exam

We may easily be able to learn all of the typical content in the textbook but what else do you know that no one would know?
I know in other subjects I always looked at the assessors report and said: "how was the average 1.7 marks for this question (which I didn't know well) but only 0.5 marks for that question (which I knew very well). In the end of the day, there will be those questions that will separate the good from the ultra good.

What unusual topics will pop up in the exam tomorrow? I'm calling:
- Policy making
- Driving/restraining forces
- Performance management

Man I'm not too sure to be honest, but I just did the 2011 exam and the question that really had me ?_? was:

Explain how employee expectations of OH&S and job security will need to be addressed by (senior management)

The thing is it says /how/, does it also imply /why/?

It probably won't specifically be on work life balance but im betting on a detailed application of one or more of the employee expectations

guys none of us can predict anymore, half of the subjects have apparently been easy, we've all suspected difficult questions such as protection of rights in legal studies, yet we got a question about the adversarial system which most people found easy. they will probably go traditional kotter and state low risk and high risk practices. but we never know.

guys above me, yes corporate culture is a must, employee expectations. yes, employees expect safety, they expect adequate working conditions, they expect not to be bullied. they expect too much LOL, thats why qantas is offshoring LOL, wait this aint a 10 marker why am i using my cases LOL

How much in detail over corporate culture, I've only been bothered to know the basics. But I hate questions that talk about how corporate culture us developed.

omg legal was so easy, btw what about problem solving process?

edit: quick question, if we put an advantage of say, a management style, however it isnt stated in the textbook but it COULD be an advantage to that style, would they still provide a mark for it? or would you need popular advantages and disadvantages?

okay, firstly you need to define it, how can you develop a corporate culture, furthermore what is a real corporate culture, secondaly what is an official corporate culture.
that is everything

problem solving process

1. identify the problem
2. gather the information
3. develop alternatives
4. analyse alternatives and rank/sort
5. implement alternative
6. evaluate

I can define it, that's easy. However I don't know how it can be developed. Is that through a code of conduct or quality? And we didn't learn about real and official culture

yeap, if it says discuss, or evaluate, you must provide both sides E.G pros/cons. all the management style questions ive done, it always will ask for strengths and weaknesses. most of them are like allows employees to feel valued and trusted. however there are so many opinions to take into consideration that it wil ltake forver to reach an decision.

Okay, your probably going to forget this

you can develop a corporate culture by- Training and developing employees, provinding incentives, giving greater responsbillity<< idk about that one those

okay Real corporate culture- the prevailing features within the orgainsation such as the way the employees speak, the management styles, structures used.

official corporate culture is the impression given to stakeholders who have a vested interest in the business such as customers.

At mcdonalds the officail corporate culture is like you'd expect staff to be treated fairly, no discrimination, no swearing, clean clothing

yet the real corporate culture is actually the opposite.
