Tell me how this is wrong please

1) for the 2 indicators of the corporate culture, everyone is telling me how I wrote it is wrong but I just do not understand.

I defined corporate culture and said it can be official or real. I then began talking about official corporate culture and it's more or less how the public perceives the organisation. Then I began saying that Alice saw the employees as normal, high intelligent people who were satisfied with their job. Although the real corporate culture are the ideas and values prevailing within an organisation and I lines this to the old CEO saying that employees felt he provided no positive feedback and that word in the case study like "under..use" or something which indicates the old CEO acted to autocratically. This means despite the public perceiving the organisation as a positive intelligent workforce, the employees were really not satisfied and did not feel like they were being used to their potential, in which the official culture acts falsely to what the real culture is. Then I said Alice can ensure she does not act with the values or "autocratic" style that was used by the previous CEO to satisfy employees.

How is that wrong I don't understand how indicators are only things like rituals, uniforms, languages etc. I just explained corporate culture and thought two indicators would be the two types of corporate culture and how the two weren't represented between them and linking it to a case study? How!!!

2 - the question on social and ethical on elements of operations

And also there was a question that said "describe a social and ethical responsibility from each stage in the operations system."

Last time I checked social and ethical responsibilities were two different things and if they are the same they should have said "describe a social or ethical responsibility..," regardless, I was going to do it the normal way, one each, but I kept reading and thinking about it so I basically identified 2 for each and barely described beyond basic characteristics as I ran out of room... So I'm going to get maximum 0 marks for that. I'm so pissed after this exam FUCK.

I legit looked at the exam, laughed, began putting so much detail and writing tonnes at the start and I ran out of time, fucked up so much. If I had unlimited time in exam conditions and that question was corrected, I would have got 100% but now I think I got 65% maximum.

3 -

The question regarding Kotters and social and ethical. I can't remover the question, but I defined both business ethics and social responsibility and then went omg I say one ESM could be communication in which is the idea that people are more willing to accept change. In kotters, step 4 management communicates the essential aspects of the organisation to employees so they are more willing to understand and accept the change. They act ESM responsibly as throughout a change, management is not obligated to communicate will employees about the change but they do it to remove the resistance and fear within employees to embrace change.

I did basically the same thing with participation and the step of empowering people.

Other people are saying you were meant to outline ALL the steps but it was only worth 5-6 marks so why would you do that, I feel like mine was fine but 4-5 people are all saying I'm wrong.

If you could clarify cheers. Reckon I failed the exam

You most certainly did not fail the exam. The Kotter's question was 4 marks. 2 steps and an explanation should suffice.

For the 2 indicators about corporate culture, it is basically: level of staff absenteeism & results of a staff satisfaction survey. Remember that corporate culture is about the values and beliefs the organisation is build on :)

And the ESR for the operations system, basically what could the organisation have done to make the inputs, transformation and outputs E&SR. Ex: outputs could be packaged in recyclable packaging, my teacher went through the exam and I had that as answer and he said that I would be correct so yeah :)

I understand but it said the indicators of a corporate culture and then it said something about values and beliefs. Through talking about official and real, you are therefore identifying the true values and beliefs of the organisation. An indicator is not a performance indicator to my knowledge .

And with ESR I 100% got it wrong I was just highlighting the misleading question for grammatical nazis like myself.

I just said two basic things, uniform, and hosting events like birthday parties. I then justified how those things can "indicate" to a person what kind of culture the business has.

Could you possibly provide some insight pls as to whether mine is correct. Al these things that peioor are talking about fit under real or official culture, so I did it similarly and instead of doing hypothetical I linked with the case study and said how official
Culture is a false identitylf the other but in Moore detail

Hey:) the study design provides some indicators of corporate culture. You should get some marks but the bare minimum. This is because your response was very general. Hope that helps:)

I think you're mixing CC indicators with performance indicators Ram007. I interpreted it as indicators of CC, e.g rituals, symbols, age, dress code

- corporate culture and its future development

It doesn't specifically state indicators but I assume that VCAA assumed thought students would've known the indicators. You could say that it wasn't really worded in favour of students sitting the exam, they could've said something like "two factors that make up an organisations corporate culture".

does the type of communication and level of decision making with employees count as an indicator?

Depends how lenient they are. Technically, decision making would be. Imagine an organisation with strict decision making opposed to collaborative decision making. Bureaucratic vs participative environment.

As for communication, depends on lenience I guess.
