Understand the content really well, write/type yourself your own set of notes (using explanations in your own words and funny examples/mnemonics that are personal/known to you - it makes memorising easier! :) ). And also do practice Qs before every sac (mere memorisation of content isn't enough) and get your teacher to look over them or chuck them on the HHD Qs board! :D Also, use the same set of notes (that you used for sac revision) for exam revision as well! That helps because it allows for something called Relearning (which means you'll only have to go through some topics again in full and you'd have remembered most of the other topics after light revision - rather than having to learn everything from square one). Also, time yourself with Qs as you come closer to the exam period :)

for sacs do the definitions have to be word for word?

Also what does it mean by list 2 physical health dimensions?

Could i say
Energy levels
The physical capacity to perform tasks and physical fitness?

The definitions should be very close so as to not forget important detail e.g. in the definition of under-5 mortality rate, you don't want to miss out on the "per 1000 live births" component of the definition. For that reason, some definitions should be word to word :) Also, definitions endorsed by organisations like WHO, UN, VicHealth etc need to be word-to-word as those are "official" definitions :)

Listing 2 physical health dimensions is mentioning two indicators/factors which can help us to gauge someone's physical health :) So yes energy levels and physical fitness are correct :) You can also mention:
Body Weight for Height, Blood Pressure Levels, Blood Glucose Levels, Blood Cholesterol Levels, Lung Capacity and Function, Immune Response, Diet, and Flexibility of Muscles and Joints - as we can sort of determine a person's physical health through these indicators/factors :)

Mostly just the ones in the study design :) But your teacher may tell you to learn definitions for terms that are not in the study design for your sacs (sac guidelines tend to differ from school to school) :) For the exam however, you just need to stick to what's in the study design and that's all you'll need to know :D

To ensure a head start for HHD, I would recommend going into the vcaa website and printing off relevant pages of the study design that outline the key knowledge and key skills required for each AOS. As you progress with your revision, tick off each dot point so you know that you are able to do a skill. As for the first area of study in unit three, it would be helpful to already have an idea of the key health definitions that are used frequently throughout the course of units 3 & 4: health, health status, life expectancy, health adjusted life expectancy (HALE), disability adjusted life years (DALYs), burden of disease including YLL- fatal component of BOD and YLD- non-fatal component of BOD, morbidity, mortality, incidence and prevalence. Know and understand the dimensions I.e physical, mental and social dimensions of health as well as determinants of health I.e biological, behavioural, social and physical environments and their relevant factors- example biological- body weight, blood pressure, genetics etc and how each determinant may account for variations in health status. Have a look at Australia's health status compared to other developed countries studied in the first AOS. Ensure you are able to read and interpret graphs and data correctly and practice using all key health terms when answering questions. Make as much use of resources on the VCAA website and do as many prac questions as possible.
Enjoy health :)

You should know more than I, I recommend these

body weight; for example, being underweight, a healthy weight, overweight or obese

blood pressure levels

blood cholesterol levels

glucose regulation

genetics, including sex

birth weight.

So i should know all of them? In detail?  Because at the moment i just know bodyweight and blood pressure.

I would know about them all, and the more detail the better :) as you will be able to give more comprehensive answers.

Bodyweight and blood pressure are good ones to know as they can be applicable in most situations but is it also useful to know the others. :)

Age is another that can be useful especially for dementia which is likely to be tested this year :)
