Considering how much I cared about it this year, I've surprisingly pretty much forgotten about VCE already. It's strange that after a whole year of thinking about this one number, now when the time has come, I don't really care. It's not that I don't care about my results; I put a lot of effort in and I am hoping for something high enough to get into the course I want, but I no longer see it as something that defines me. I imagine (or at least hope) it will be something I'll move on from quite quickly, as I hope we all will.

Anyway, best of luck to everyone.  :D

Yes haha. I don't even think about economics anymore really. Strange because I loved the subject when I was studying it.

Is anyone else on the same boat as me? I'm SO SCARED that I won't get a 25 for English language. I dont think I did well on the exam but I went alright on sacs. I'm not even thinking about my atar anymore. And Why must I go overseas the same day we get our results :((((( (my holiday is either gonna be heaven or hell URGH)

I'm in the same boat in terms of worrying about my English Language results. However, whatever happens, you can still change it in the future (I know it's not ideal, but there's always a way to get into what you want!)
If you don't know the answer to a question, chances are it has something to do with changing the surface area to volume ratio or resonance.

Okay so I'm in year 11 so this whole receiving marks thing is really new to me.

I've signed up for the text message, will that tell me my study score before or after scaling? Eg if I received a 35 but it was scaled to a 34 then would the text say 35 or 34??

Also will I get a statement of results in the mail the next day or is that only for year 12s? I was really interested in seeing how I did in the GAT (crazy I know since it counts for nothing).

Sorry for all the dumb questions!

I'm asking about my 3/4 subjects. What I meant by 'only for year 12s?' was is it only year 12 students who are receiving ATARs who get letters.

Since you're a Year 11 student, it'll only tell you the RAW score for your study, you'll have to consult ATAR Calc when they update for 2013 for an approximation as to what it scaled to :)

Also will I get a statement of results in the mail the next day or is that only for year 12s? I was really interested in seeing how I did in the GAT (crazy I know since it counts for nothing).

As a Year 11 you will receive your GAT results in the mail as well. You will indeed be able to bask in the glory of that which is clearly the most important score of your entire life, and determine's your ability for absolutely everything the remainder of your life.

Remember, as Steve Jobs once said, "If you fail the GAT, you fail life".

Oops. Yeah I meant my Year 11 3/4. I don't want my 3/4's to get posted to my home! Not to mention the GAT I just f'd around on, sleeping for 2 of the three hours whilst writing stories on multiple choice questions to release my annoyance of doing a GAT :(

I myself like the ability to have good results published, if you do well why wouldn't you want your success to be a google search away for potential employers etc.  much better than some shitty fb photos coming up.

I don't mind people knowing my results, but I'd much rather have them find out through me than go behind my back and then approach me with my personal results. I don't come from an Asian family (I'm a wog), but unfortunately it's all become a bit competitive amongst my cousins and myself due to the fact that many of us are very strong academically. It's not really us cousins ourselves, but more due to our parents and aunties/uncles. Knowing them, they'll go and search up my results as soon as they're readily available and I don't want that. In addition, there's enough people at school who will want to have a pry and I don't want that either.

Last year, the text came in at 7:02am. I think I'll just wait for it rather than participate in crashing the website.

They did?
Man, I never got to see mine.
Not that it matters at all, especially this year. I think I wrote a paragraph and a half for the second writing task.
