Is it the raw or scaled SS??

Hey all,
I was just wondering with the SMS for results on monday, is the score in the text the raw or scaled score?

I'm sure it's been said somewhere before, but the SMS will only give you the RAW score. If you want the scaled score you'll have to go to http://resultsandatar.vic.edu.au/ :)

Does anyone have a screenshot of the text? I know it's ATAR first, followed by subjects in increasing order of SS with their unit codes, but I'd just like to see one for curiosity's sake.

I know someone put a picture up of their text like 3 days ago, I just can't remember where! I went and looked and couldn't find it :/

Yeah, as those before have said, VCAA only gives you your raw score.

Also note that if you are in Year 11 (like me), you will receive your scaled score *next* year (so your raw score will be scored according to next year's scaling report) - at least, that's what I've been told. :)

Well, you're half right haha. Whilst you won't receive a scaled score this year, you will be scaled aganst this year's cohort. The reason you don't see the scaled score is that it is located in the "View ATAR" page, which is unavailable unless you qualify for an ATAR :)

Lol I don't want my scaled score because I did Food and Technology
If its a 40 raw it goes to like a 34 :/

I've still got my text messages from last year. I found it a bit confusing that they gave me a subject code instead of the subject name, and they didn't explain what the letter grades meant, but this is exactly how it was set out:

Text 1 (sent to me about 5 seconds after I sent my text):
Results 2012. You are registered to receive VCE Results and ATAR via SMS at approx 7am 17 December. To change your mobile number, call 1800 501 083. VCE

Text 2 (sent at approximately 6:55am on the 17th of December):
Results 2012.
VCE : S ATAR: 86.75.
Ll01: C, C+, C, Study Score: 23.
LO10: C, C+, D+, SS: 20.
MA09: A+, A+, B+, SS: 37.
MA11: A+, A+, A+, SS: 42.
P1/2 VCE.

Text 3 (sent at approximately 7:00am):
Results 2012 P2/2:
PL03: B, A+, C+, SS: 32.
VCE.

I think the reason it came out in 2 different texts was that I did philosophy as a distance ed subject.

Both. It's raw and then it provides you with the scaled mark.
