ATAR Notes Statistics
« on: December 17, 2013, 02:15:10 pm »
Has anyone compiled stats on the VCE results for the 2013 ATAR Notes cohort? I'm keen to know how I compare to all these clever people haha :)

I PM'd Phy124 about this last night just out of curiosity. It wasn't a conscious decision by the staff not to make the statistics, but rather that somebody just hasn't gotten around to it yet. Although, he told me that anyone can compile the ATAR and study score lists, if they wish. :)

For those curious, I got bored so made a quick one. There's like very little stats so go and modify it as much as you want haha

Sheet1: you can sort stuff by using the drop down arrows

Sheet2: backup, incase you deleted a whole column and ceeb redownloading it haha

enjoy I guess...

Is it just me or that out of the 36 ppl who finished yr12 this year, half of them got over 99? That's insane, also there's 27 50ss out of the cohort on the list. -.-
Congrats to all of you guys on such an amazing effort.
Now this statistics just make me look retarded since I doubt I will get a 50 or over 99.

You shouldn't feel this way since some of the students who got over 99 aren't even regular contributors to the forum.

+1, lists like this really don't reflect anything other that those who want to post their results online (which are usually those with high results). Also not to mention the guys with <50 posts posting high ATARs just to get tutoring students for next year via their sigs ;)

Yeah, AN's median ATAR definitely isn't so high. I mean, what's defined as AN? People who lurk? With more than 10 posts? 20 posts? 30, 40, 50? Even if you sorted out a definition of AN, any median gathered is more "the median of people reporting their scores", as pi said. I mean, there are people whose only post is their study scores (when they come out all 45+, of course).
✌️just do what makes you happy ✌️

On second thought, it doesn't really matter at all what scores other people get :P
