(whys - NaNoWriMo probs isn't big around our age group - it's a thing where you write 50K words on a novel in one month, the month of November. You're not living under a rock insofar as this is concerned, I think. It's probably done by people like retired or whatever. I only learnt about it because my older brother did it.)
