Ohh ok. I think I was looking up the role of co2 in photosynthesis

So with photosynthetic bacteria it is involved

Well CO2 is involved in photosynthesis normally as well it's just that in bacteria it works differently.

In "mainstream" photosynthesis the CO2 is reduced to form carbohydrates in the light independent reaction / calvin cycle.

Different types of bacteria do photosynthesis in different ways, but this can include having CO2 produced in the first step.

Would it be wrong if you said the electron transport chain produces 32-34 electrons
Do you have to say 32 or 34.

Both glucose and sodium ions travel across the plasma membrane via carrier proteins? Or do they also use channel proteins.

For this question:
Different cells in an organism and cells from different organisms require different types of food. Does that mean that these cells are chemically different? Explain

Is this correct:
These cells are not chemically different because all cells contain DNA which is  composed of a nucleotide which contains a phosphate, sugar and a base.

Does hydrophobic mean non polar and hydrophilic is polar.

- 32 if it's a non-myocyte. 34 if its a myocyte. It's more complex than this but this is the general principle. You should write 32-34 (if that's what your teacher has also said)
- I think both is fine. It's only when it is active transport, a carrier protein is used.
- I don't know sorry  :( , it probably has something to do with genetic code being universal.
- Yep

What’s myocyte and non myocytes
Muscle cell and non-muscle cell (any cell that's not a muscle cell. e.g. neurons, somatic cells)

Where in the cell theory does it say that all cells have the same genome. I didn’t know this was in the cell theory

Also what is the genome made up of I thought it was just all the genes

One of the cell theory alludes to all cells having the same genome (that cells arise from pre-existing cells).

A genome is an organism's whole genetic information, or one of its cell's genetic information, which is why all your cells have the same genetic information.

Thank you!!

For this question would the answer be d??

The normal mature form of the algal cell chlamydomonas is haploid. The zygote contains 16 chromosomes. You would expect that:
A during meiosis the chromosome number doubles to 32
B the normal mature cell contains 8 chromosomes
C mitosis if the normal mature cell contains a chromosomes number of 16
D the normal mature cell produces gametes by meiosis

And for this question:
Imagine that you are a carbon dioxide molecule produced by cellular respiration in the foot of a mammal. Which of the following describes your journey to the outside world.

A tissue fluid, capillary, Venule, vein, right side of the heart, lungs, outside air
B tissue fluid, venule, vein, right side of the heart, lungs, outside air
C. Tissue fluid, arteriole, artery, venule, vein, left side of the heart, lungs , outside air
D tissue fluid, capillary, arteriole, artery, left side of the heart, lungs, outside air

Would the answer for this question be a??

? Anyone

For this question:
A horse diploid number (2n=64) and a donkey (diploid number 2n=62) can mate and produce offspring called a mule. How many chromosomes are there in a mules somatic cells.
Is it 63?

Why is the genetic code called redundant?

Yeah 63
Gamete from a horse has 32 chromosomes. Gamete from Donkey has 31 chromosomes. 31 + 32 = 63

redundant because a single amino acid can be coded for by multiple different codons.

For this question which is best adapted to its environment volvox, paramecium of human explain

Could I say:
A human is best adapted to its environment because humans are multicellular organisms and have specialised cells, tissues and organs and systems that allow them to obtain nutrients, expel waste and perform gas exchange.

What is a multiple allelic trait?

- is there anymore to this question? looks a bit odd. i would probably say that humans have a lot of homeostatic mechanisms that are best adapted to the environment they live in. your answer seems legit too.

- A trait that is affected by multiple alleles (and not just one). Example: height. this pretty much means that multiple genes are needed to be expressed in order for height to be determined (and so not just one gene expresses for height)
