Are my descriptions for the functions of these two organelles okay:

-Golgi apparatus modifies and packages materials into vesicles for secretion by the cell.
-Endoplasmic reticulum transports materials within the cell.

Also, when antigens are engulfed via endocytosis they form vesicles right? Because I swear some assessment reports have said vacuoles rather than vesicles?

Yes to both definitions, but might also add that in terms of protein synthesis, the Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum transports the protein to the Golgi Body.

Umm with the latter, VCAA seem to use digestive vacuole and vesicle loosely. Cause enzymes are secreted to break down the antigen.

If require to write an equation for photosynthesis, would you be penalised for writing light and chlorophyll above and below the arrow?

Few MC Q's I don't quite get

For first question(Q5) got no clue, second one(Q11)why can't the answer be A, third one(17) why can't it be C, fourth one(21)I get how but by elimination but what do they mean by saturates and lastly question and lastly why can't Q23(bout the spraying levels decline stuff)from the 2010 unit 4 exam be also be D.

What exam is Q5 from?  :)

The homo genus diverged from the gracile australopithecus species (africanus and afarensis).

Q5 - Is the answer B? If so, I think it's just process of elimination. Not A because 76 and 38 aren't divisible by 3 (there aren't triploids). Not C because 2n/haploids will always produce an even number of chromosomes. D seems nonsensical.

Q17 - Phenotype is not only determined by the genotype, but also the environment. Therefore, clones/genetically identical copies will never be identical due to different environments. I assume that's why.

Q21 - Saturates means it uses it all up, so each protein channel would be filled by solute Q. This levels out the rate of movement as you can only move so fast before you hit a limit.

The first one i got B just by working with the numbers; the second one it is not A as antibiotics only kill bacteria, the question is talking about a fungus, so the correct answer should be D, third one i'm not too sure about, fourth one i'm also not sure about and the last one, nowhere in the graph does it show what is said in D, i got A for that.

Okay just to clarify, diploid number must always be positive but haploid number can be either positive or negative? Also, will organisms with a more expansive genome always show more genetic variation than those with a smaller genome?

I'm pretty sure they're vesicles, and more specifically phagosomes

How can a haploid number be negative?! Do you mean odd or even?
Haha I was thinking the same thing! :p

Lol positive negative^

Anyway I don't know if the answer is incorrect:

Chemical barriers that are involved in resistance of plants to pathogens include:
A) the thick waxy cuticle on leaves and stems
B) abnormal swelling at the infection site called galls
C) high silicon content of leaves forming a barrier to pathogen enzymes
D) production of oils to repel insects

Why is it D?(I said b)

Also what are antibiotics and what do they do?
