Hello,
I am revising through blood regulation (homeostasis)
I know that when you stand up for long periods of time, blood can pull at your feet increasing blood pressure due to gravity (hydrostatic pressure), and if i am to comment on the ways the body compensates for this, is there anything else besides from:
1. stretch sensed by baroreceptors/carotid arch to vasoconstrict and reduce the blood flowing to the feet
2. something about myogenic response
3. would muscle pump come into play to try and increase venous return to reduce the pressure, but that doesn't really work when you are standing up idle without moving
4. I'm guessing there would be a release of some hormones?
I feel like I'm missing something...
Please and thanks in advance!
