I feel like it should be. I wrote the same, but then stated that the total would be 273. However, I doubt markers would be so pedantic that they'd take off a mark if they didn't see 273, especially considering the difficulty of this exam!

Don't you think that 90 monomers, 3 monomers for one amino acid which means there's 30 made, right? Or did I read this question wrong in the restricted time haha

I spent ages on that experimental design question, but I managed to finish 15 mins early :)

Ok my opinion, With the drawing of monomers.
It stated what macromolecules were involved in the chromosome.

I did a nucleotide, and then deoxyribose sugar
It then asked for the basic structure of these monomers, so i didn't have to draw deoxyribose sugar but i just drew a glucose molecule.
May be completely ok or completely wrong.

Then with the mammoth question, I said as a result of a founder or bottle neck affect the new population doesn't accurately represent the original population.

I don't agree with divergent evolution, very short time frame and no co-existing species. What does it diverge from?

Also fly trap question, Was it C or D? I had D until the very last minute but then changed as i didn't know if all the potassium was leaving the cell or it was just balancing out.

Chromosomes consist of DNA and histone proteins, so the monomers that you needed to draw were nucleotides and amino acids.

I said macromolecules were nucleic acid and proteins, whilst the monomers were nucleotides and amino acids.

Chromosomes consist of DNA and histone proteins, so the monomers that you needed to draw were nucleotides and amino acids.

And DNA consists of Nucleotids, Sugar and Phosphate?
I thought it was wrong, i didn't remember the amino acid structure but i thought stating chromosomes has deoxyribose sugar in it then drawing the monomer of sugar (Glucose) maybe counted as correct.
