Did anyone go on the 5th/6th/7th of Jan? If yes, how was it? I want to know some of your feedbacks on how it went because I think I'll register for the sessions on the 17th/18th/19th. Were the notes given good? How was the lecturers? etc. :)

Hi, yeah I was there. I got Sarah Peng for the 1st and 3rd lecture, which was pretty amazing. The notes, as always, do a pretty good job on summarising. However, on the 2nd lecture, we got Irena, she covered the spectroscopy concepts, which were all relatively new to us, and she went too fast that I think quite a few people (including me) didn't really get what she said. But anw, in spite of all those rushes and a bit of confusions in the end, I still manage to grab all the concepts again by reading through the notes. Cause as TSFX has already mentioned, it's just a head start lecture, you are not required to understand every single thing you have been tought, instead, just have an overview of what unit 3 Chemistry is going to be like and get more advantages ahead of your peers. So by all means, go for it !

I also attended. The first and third lectures were run by Ms Sarah Peng. She was excellent. She taught several relatively new concepts really well, which embedded into my mind really quickly. Irena was okay, but for both Chemistry and Methods, she was too fast. Maybe the comcepts were new and I needed more time to absorb it, but I think the general consensus was that she was too fast. The notes are great; everything is noted in the amount of detail required.

Good luck with the lectures :)
