"Stephen McLaughlin has set up a website called namemydaughter.com, where he is allowing people to vote for his daughter's first and middle names.
There is one catch - he and his wife have the final say.
"Unfortunately, internet, I know better than to trust you. We will ultimately be making the final decision, Alas my daughter shall not be named WackyTaco692. Sorry guys the wife wouldn't go for a free for all," Mr McLaughlin wrote on the website (http://www.news.com.au/technology/online/stephen-mclaughlin-lets-internet-name-his-baby-girl/story-fnjwmwrh-1226800655194 quote).

Currently the leading first name is Amelia with Cthulhu in second place. The number of trolls earlier were quite large, as previously (but not now) the leading list consisted of:

Update:
Name: Amelia Savannah Joy McLaughlin.
Cthulhu actually came first, but they decided not to go with that, but instead with second place: Amelia.
Savannah and Joy were chosen as middle names from the votes.
I was quite surprised that they actually followed through.

That last sentence from the link:
"Let's hope "Adolf" drops out of the top 15 by then."
I almost choked on my food! Haha
On a side note, how do you even pronoounce 'Cthulhu'?  :o

HP Lovecraft, whos mythos Cthulhu belongs to, didn't set out a specific pronounciation for the entity - the reason being that the true name is utterly incomprehensible to humanity :P (seriously, if you haven't read HP Lovecraft please do so, it's an incredibly terrifying literary universe!)

Most people pronounce it "k'thooloo", and it's a wonderful name for any baby girl :P

I guarantee you that it's well worth it! Try to get a copy of At the Mountains of Madness, it's a decent introduction to the mythos. Apparently Guillermo del Toro wants to adapt it into a film (and that would be astoundingly awesome).
