My enrolment day is the 28th, and a mate says his letter showed the 30th for enrolment

Sweet, thats all confirmed then. Each faculty has different enrolment days too. How about the course info day?

Bachelor of Economics Advanced with Honours here! :D

Should I bother doing MTH1020, or go straight to MTH1030?
Monash seems to have multiple different prerequisites for MTH1030, with those being:

1) MTH1020
2)Completed VCE Specialist Maths 3/4
3)Completed VCE Specialist Maths 3/4 with at least a B average in the exams
4)Completed VCE Specialist Maths 3/4 with a study score of at least 30

I did Specialist Maths in VCE with only a S/S of 32 (and 37 for Methods), with a B+ in Exam 1 and a C+ in Exam 2. Any opinions? I just hope I won't struggle in MTH1030, especially if there is Linear Algebra (hardly did anything with matrices in Methods apart from Probability and Transformations of Functions).
You should be absolutely fine if you work your way throughout the semester. Linear algebra is just introductory. You'll be solving equations, taking determinants and inverses and doing transformations with matrices. Equations are straight forward but the determinant is a headache..I mean it's very tedious

There's 2 sessions for each faculty I think. Coming Wednesday (22nd) is the Course Information day where they help with unit selection and all, and the 29th is the actual enrolment day for everyone where you pick up your ID card and confirm your unit selection. Although the course information day may or may not be the same for each faculty.

Thanks!
I just checked: all the double degrees with law are managed by the law fac; so I'll see everyone who's doing something and law on the 29th! :)

Can't really select my units anyway :(

I'm looking at an Astrophysics major, if that helps
If you're good at maths, don't bother with asp1022 in semester 2. Instead go ahead and take asp2062 because that's what I did.

Question for any law double degree students, particularly Com/Law.
In your offer letter thingo from VTAC did they only mention one date (i.e. 29/1/14) for you to attend for enrolment or were there other dates? I only have one but I just feel like there's other course info days as well that I'm unaware of. Anyone??

I like to think I'm good at maths, got all >80% at tafe. If I'm able to change semester 2 units before it starts, I'll see how I go first semester, and probably decide then

I have the 22nd for the 'compulsory' info session for engineering + a recommendation for the science info session which is like an hour after the engineering one finishes. I only have one date for enrolment though, don't see why you would have to enrol twice for one course.

Out of curiosity, who has their course advice day this Wednesday, and their enrollment on the 29th?

i do, but im a bit confused. I'm doing science/law, and the offer letter says that the BSc info session is on the 22nd, while the law double degree info session is on the 29th. So technically, I can't really do unit enrollment till the 29th. But here is the problem. Enrollment ends by the 29th. so does that mean i have to decide on units before going to the law info session? lolwut? can someone confirm

EDIT: some minor grammatical edits

So I think you only go to the info session run by your managing faculty (Law, right?). I don't think you have too much of a problem because I think your Law units are set for first year, and the only choices you need to make are for the BSc units.

If you like, I can help you pick some units for that! The fundamental question is, as always, what are you interested in? :)
