Hi Guys, just wanted some help/feedback on this topic for an oral

"Is it the responsibility of developed countries to host asylum seekers and refugees"

for the contention and here's what i've come up with

- the UN protocol, those who are in the UN, signed a document which says they should allow them to come
- they can boast economic benefits-they want to "pay back" the country for their generosity
- they are fellow human beings, who have no other place to go
- human morals?

any help would be much appreciated!!

I'd stick more to the third and fourth points, making a fair bit of an emotional case (some anecdotal examples could help). The first point is correct, however I'm not sure how much you can say about it. The second point is by far the easiest one to rebut, and you would need to prove its factual accuracy beyond just stating it (cite research into the matter, et cetera).
