Another UNIB20007 student who has changed their tutorial to Thurs 2:15 PM! We can reserve our own table! Excellent! Hello new best friend!

But I have the 11am Thurs master race time slot!

Hey everyone, hope you're all happy with your timetables!
Just a quick question, I was wondering if it was okay to have a chemistry practical before my first lecture. Or is it better if it's after my first lecture? Thanks in advance! :)

I don't think it matters that much although many might say after. A large part of the chem pracs are based on the prelabs you are assigned to do anyway.

its fine. you dont really need lecture knowledge for the stuff you do in pracs. i was usually a couple of weeks/months behind in lectures, but found the pracs fine all the same.

The chemistry pracs are the worst assessment task ever. They have no relevance to the course or lectures whatsoever. So it's not an issue.

Just received an email that many first year Biomedicine students didn't end up getting into a Chemistry tutorial so work is being done to make more available.

I can't say I hate my timetable. :) I'm thinking about taking off Monday, by putting the ACCT10001 lecture between the two lectures on Thursday and the ECON10004 tutorial on another day, but I like having that 2-hour break to really get into studying. O:

If you actually use that break to study you will be in the 1% of university students that does so haha. Between live bands and barbecues outside Union House every Tuesday, there are better things to be doing than hitting the books :P

This being said I do live for university life so maybe my perceptions are a bit warped.

Yeah, I have a feeling I won't be keeping up with this studying routine. :P My studying habits in year 12, or rather lack of, will mostly prove this. And seriously, snags > books.  8)

I really suggest you move that ARA lecture to Thursday 12-2. Move that intro micro tutorial as well. The 2 hour break is not worth it, very unproductive. I had a three hour "study break" when I was first year...."study" never happened.
