How Long should "Summary" or collated notes be?

I'm just wondering how lengthy summary notes should be. I'm doing just Biology 3/4 this year, and our teacher said to make summary notes that we'll use for the end of year exam for the topic we covered during transition. I did so, cutting out all the unnecessary information. It is rather to the point, contains all the necessary information/explanations a few examples per topic, with necessary diagrams and whatnot. My teacher like it a lot, though commented on how it might be too long and detailed. Mentioned I might even need a summary of my summary.

So, I'm wondering is it bad, or unwise to have a single notes document comprised with all the notes, and right to the point? Or, should one be very specific, and brief?

Thanks! :)
The GOAL: Attain a RAW study score of 40+ in all my subjects.

Courses I would like to study in order of preference include: Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Biomedicine or Bachelor of Science.

2014: Biology [42]
2015: English Language [??] | Chemistry [??] | Physics [??] | Mathematical Methods (CAS) [??] | Specialist Mathematics [??]

it depends how well you want to do ! i prefer very detailed, however it is hard to understand and know everything you have written in your notes. but yeah, more detailed > less detailed, and it will help you in preparation for the exam. but, detailed does not necessarily mean go beyond the course! for example, my unit 3 chemistry notes were 62 pages... pretty detailed haha just depends how much content you can memorise and keep in your head. also, because this is your only 3/4 subject, you probably want to do very well in it since your workload will be less than when you are in year 12. you will have more time to study, so more detail is better i think :) but if you can't memorise all the details, then cut the things that you don't need and memorise the necessary parts!
