Hi, so I'm doing unit 3 and 4 biology this year, and have neap question smart study guide and checkpoints. What else should I get?? Is atarnotes worth good? Is A+ Biology- just notes, so since I have already done summaries for first unit would it still be beneficial to buy it? Also is unit 3 and 4 A+ biology exam good? Thanks so much. Feels stressed. :(

lol I feel like you're way too stressed which can really hinder your performance..
What you have now seems sufficient-- try to consolidate your understanding first --there are tons of resources out there :)

A+ Notes for unit 3 Bio is really good so I definitely recommend it and you could also check out khan academy- they provide excellent tutorials that pretty much cover most of the bio course :)

Good luck though and don't stress!

I think you'll be fine. :) Although if you don't use the NoB textbook, you should definitely get hold of a copy. You seem to have quite a few resources already, if you also complete all the textbook questions, I doubt you would run out of questions (you DO have other subjects to focus on too).

Douchy's Biology Podcast and Mr Barlow's podcast are pretty good to listen to on the go, and yeah like nerdmmb said Khan Academy is great too! I also liked the Biology Crash Course on YouTube, which was fun to watch :)

Calm down :)

I also recommend listening to 'Douchy's Biology Podcast's, really informative and fun to listen to :P. But I would watch out for the definitions in the Biology A+ notes, I memorized them and used them for my SAC once, my teacher only gave me half a mark for each of them, apparently those definitions were not very specific (maybe it was just my teacher?), just something to be mindful of :)

Like palladium said, I would definitely recommend Biology Crash Course, the presenter, Hank, is hilarious and the videos are packed with great info covering nearly the whole course :)

Hi Daniel,
Just curious, did you attend any TSFX lectures for biology? Congrats on your great scores!

Honestly I didn't attend any of those types of lectures. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't recommend them! You have to work out the best way in which you like learning, if listening to lecturers go through the material orally works for you then perfect :) I'm much more of an independent learner and so I preferred reading online about whatever peaked my interest (I loved Wikipedia), and also watching lots of videos. It's mostly about being exposed to as many resources as you can :)

You don't need to spend several thousand bucks on resources to do well. I think that should be fine. I'd echo the idea that you should try have access to A++ notes though, they're fantastic and having a second perspective on things always helps. You don't have to buy them, try the library or maybe with a few of your friends buy a copy together and share it around.
