Where to find English Language Articles?
« on: February 02, 2014, 02:47:53 pm »

Our English Language teacher has told us to be on the lookout for articles relating to language that pop up in the newspaper, or news. Though, I was wondering if there was any specific sections in the paper, or news websites which may highlight this? Also, are there any websites which contain news on the English language?

All assistance and ideas are greatly appreciated! :D
The GOAL: Attain a RAW study score of 40+ in all my subjects.

Courses I would like to study in order of preference include: Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Biomedicine or Bachelor of Science.

Only commenting on what I've seen, but when it comes to specific uses of language (eg. informal language: colloquialisms, etc.) the opinion sections or letter to the editor sections seem to show different types of informality.

I also found this blog that is interesting to read

Although now out of commission, http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/linguafranca/past-programs/ : Radio National's Lingua Franca podcasts are still available. They discuss a wide variety of topics in about 15 minutes. Have a listen - I love it.
