How fast can you type?

lol I suck in comparison. I blame the fact that I never bothered to learn the 'home row' method of touch typing.

It's when all your fingers rest on the middle row of your keyboard (the one with 'a' in it) and can readily touch the keys on the other two main rows of the keyboard.

I managed to get "fast" at touch typing only through the necessity of getting messages out quicker. In other words, my method is nothing short of a complete mess.

you never appreciate how slow 'earth' is to type until you're in one of these situations, like I'm thinking 'oh crap there's an 'earth' coming up this just great yeah gg typing challenge'

Touch typing was a skill that I just acquired over time I guess. Use a computer for long enough, you're gonna memorise the keyboard and type pretty quickly (most of the time)
Plus with all the instant-messaging, if you couldn't be instant, you lost. Survival of the fittest.

haha i wish i learned how to touch type. i just randomly jab at buttons with my index + middle fingers and use my thumb for the space bar and its incredibly inefficient.

I'm always looking 2-3 words ahead, and committing them to short term memory so i can just rattle them off without pausing for thought.

Was close to mine so gave it a few shots, eventually got exactly on what I got. (Yeah I'm not the fastest at typing... when I need to actually spell things correctly ) Typing maths on the other hand, is a completely different story
