Hi everyone,

I'm seriously not liking key concepts - people are really recommending to base my notes off a + notes which I'm not sure if thats a good move?

What do you think is the best textbook?

I personally used 'making and breaking the law' and I think it was pretty good. :)

Thank you so so much for that!!!

Did you use Justice & outcomes at all to make your notes?

Also, do you reccomend Justice and outcomes or Making and breaking? Because I can only buy the one.

Also do you have any tips for legal - i'm getting so frustrated with it :s

I used A+ Notes more than my Making and Breaking the law Textbook. A+ notes really does a good job of giving you an understanding of the required content from the study design. Its written in a logical order and only contains relevant information that you need to know for the exam and SACs. I'd definitely recommend buying it.
What are you finding frustrating about Legal? Is it the content being boring or difficult or are you just having a hard time remembering it all?

Get the CPAP Study Guide!! I wrote it. It's good. I promise. And the questions are exam-style with sensible mark allocation.
[Update: full for 2018.] I give Legal lectures through CPAP, and am an author for the CPAP 'Legal Fundamentals' textbook and the Legal 3/4 Study Guide.
Available for private tutoring in English and Legal Studies.

Good luck!

I used Justice and Outcomes as well as A+ notes, and it worked well for me. You'll find that there's a lot of unnecessary info in Justice and Outcomes, but amongst it all there's also very relevant info so it's good in that way. As people have mentioned the author of Justice and Outcomes also writes A+ notes, which is really useful as A+ just condenses down Justice and Outcomes. My notes were written of A+ notes, but I also used justice and outcomes to get any extra info on a certain concept if I felt that I needed further explanation.

A  notes is fantastic, I have one for all my subjects and they help heaps. My school uses key concepts, but I personally don't I just find it doesn't have as much detail.
I've been getting A  for my sacs so far, so I would defiantly recommend it !

I did Legal Studies 3/4 last year and used 'Justice and Outcomes'. It had quiet a lot of content that was not necessarily on the course and you could get carried away with certain examples and so on. A+ notes really helped me as it summarised what what was actually in the study design and contained many exam type questions.

I use Justice & Outcomes as well as A+ notes also. Good combination in my opinion, as although J&O can provide unnecessary knowledge with heaps of examples, that's actually useful in my view as it ensures you have comprehensive knowledge, while A+ notes can be the study guide you go through a couple of weeks before the SAC to ensure you've covered everything you need to know, in a concise and easy to remember way.

Secretly, I believe working through A+ notes gives me an advantage against my class in SACs as many don't use that book

I used Legal Notes by CENGAGE, hardly looked at the textbook all year.
Justice and Outcomes is pretty comprehensive though.

I used justice and outcomes too as well as the legal notes and I know heaps of people think it's too detailed but I guess when you use it you feel that you have ALL the info and nothing is left out
I made my notes straight out of it and it's those extra things that give you the advantage over other students
