Is it really necessary to get a bio tutor?

I'm not sure if I should get a bio tutor or not. I really want to do the best I can but will it help me if I'm already a A student? I really want to achieve an A+ in biology 3/4 this year. Thanks for the advice in advance :)

I don't think it will be necessary for you to get a tutor since you are an A student. You should only get a tutor if you are really struggling to understand the concepts and content of Bio. I believe that you can achieve an A+ without a tutor.

It really depends on what's keeping you from being an A+ student and whether you feel a tutor can help bridge that gap for you. My Biology students are at the A/A+ level and see me primarily for one of these two reasons:
1) Polishing assessment technique by cleaning up language
2) Highlighting potential misconceptions in conceptual understanding.

If these are areas that you struggle with, a Biology tutor may be able to assist you. However, as always, this can also be improved on your own with hard work and practice. :)

I am a biol tutor and I don't think it's necessary, but it can be helpful. The posts above really say it all. It also depends on the tutor as well. It can, sometimes, be helpful to have a mentor and a soundboard to work with. You're not really paying to be taught, rather, paying for the support, which can be worth a whole lot more sometimes. Personally though, I couldn't afford one and thus didn't have one.

What's really holding me back is my expression. I know all the content in assessments but I just don't express it correctly. How could I rectify it on my own?

Making sure you properly correct your answers when practicing questions. Read the solution carefully and be harsh on yourself when marking.

It's what most would do, I think.
Sadly, I'm part of the minority that doesn't...

If it doesn't work for you, don't do it. But for most it is very good advice and is worth the effort.
