Upcoming EPI SAC

Hi guys,

SO this Friday we'll be completing the first SAC for unit 3 physics which is an EPI and apparently holds up for 8-16% of our SS (either one). Anyway, as my topic for investigation, I (slightly naively) chose to investigate the effects that changing the mass of a pendulum will have on it's time period. We've now completed the practical last week and I've only just come to discover that it is the length of the string that changes the time period of the pendulum - not the mass. Is this the case? If so, is the experiment I undertook pointless and will have little to be discussed in the writeup? IS there anyhope for this SAC!

Thanks in advance,

Hello liamh96, did you happen to measure the length of the string, if not you could explain it to your teacher or just make up the results based on past EPI's done.
Good luck with the EPI

Hi ChuckNorris10101

I did record the length of the string, but I didn't change the length so it's not really a independent variable.
