Too much content in Bio 3&4!

I'm doing Biology 3&4 this year and I'm finding it really hard to cover the content on my own at home amidst all the homework and assignments I receive from school. When studying biology I have no particular target I want to reach which really scares me. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much they studied at night? Like how many pages every night? I'm finding it really hard to manage and with no clear goal, I don't know how to be successful in this subject. :S I'd really appreciate it if someone told me what they did or do to cover as much content as possible and hence get ahead.

Anything will much appreciated! Thanks! :D

This is something that my teacher made everyone in my class do in VCE, every time we covered a major topic or the like (e.g biomacromolecules, enzymes, immunity etc) he would always bring in a bunch of A3 poster paper and make us summarize the topic, I always summarized my notes and such into a concept map on the poster paper with lots of pictures. It definitely did help consolidate all the bio content for me (I was never one to learn from reading my notes over and over again). Try and adopt this technique and see if it works for you :)

But lets see during the day (at school and when I get back from school) I would read through my 2 bio textbooks and do the chapter questions but at night I just listened to Douchy's podast's.

I agree. I find this subject hard to study for. I'm planning to spend more time on biology than my other subjects, not to neglect my other subjects, but to spend more time on one that I believe requires it.

It seems like a pretty good technique. I might try it out. :) thankyou!

Yup. I'm trying to do that too but I'm finding it really hard. Cos sometimes I can't seem to keep up. But yeah, Bio is main priority right now. Do you balance the time you spend with bio and your other subjects, or do you spend more on one than the other?

I found them really useful actually. Though you shouldn't listen to them instead of studying from your textbook. To get the most out of these podcast's its best if you study the content from your textbook(s), A+ notes etc and then use Douchy's podcasts' as a means of consolidating your memory. Tbh I don't think I would gave gotten an A+ in the immunity topic if not for Douchy's podcasts (my teacher and the textbook just made it a tad bit confusing for me but for some reason Douchy's explanations as well as some 'hilarious' jokes made me understand it much better).
