lc's FURTHER questions~!

1.

In the matrix multiplication A × B = C, the order of B is 2 × 3 and the order of C is 4 × 3.
What is the order of matrix A?

Could you also explain?

Thanks!

remember 2 matrices

if we have matrix A as a X b and matrix B as b X c then the resultant matrix will have the order of a X c

Using the same principle here.

A must be 4 X z (where z is a constant)

B is 2 X 3

But we know for a resultant matrix to exist z = 2

Hence A is 4 x 2
