Psych study score

Hey everyone,

I'm aiming to get a study score of 48 to 50 for VCE Psychology this year, but I only got 93% on my first SAC for Unit 3 (which I was a bit disappointed with since I worked really hard) and I heard that you have to get high A+ scores and basically ace the exam to get such a high study score. Is this true? Have I ruined my chances already or is it still possible if I perform better on the rest of my SACs and the exam?

Thanks for your help!  :)

I have a friend who got only 60% on one of her SACs, but still managed a 50 SS for Psych. It's definitely still possible for you to achieve high if you continue to work hard.  :)
Pls do not send me a pm about Aspire applications. The process has vastly changed since I applied.

You should read:

It's a post on atarnotes by spectroscopy that directly answers your question.

Holy crap! But then again, OP, SACs ain't big in psych, the exam is what makes or breaks you.

It's definitely reassuring to know that it is still possible. :D I had no idea it was possible to get 60% on a SAC and still achieve a 50, that's incredible! Your friend must have nailed the exam (and I guess it would also depend on the school and scaling of SAC marks).

Thanks for the link. I'm pretty new to atarnotes so I hadn't realised that people had already answered similar questions on other posts.  :)

Well she was ranked 2 overall, so it seems ranking, and of course the exam, are much more important than individual SAC marks. Definitely don't lose hope for your goal!  :)

Going from a 60% SAC mark to rank 2 is incredible! I'm assuming that the class/cohort was competitive enough for that  to require some seriously high grades before/after. Do you know what kind of grades she had besides that SAC? I only ask because I'm on a mission to improve my own ranking... :)

Well if I remember correctly,  they were mostly 90's and high 80's.

Personally for me, last year in Indo, I'd gotten a 15/20 and 16/20 for 2 out of 6 SACs overall , but came out rank 1.  :)

It's definitely still possible to get whatever mark you're aiming for, given you work hard and learn from previous SACs, as I'm sure you're doing.  All the best!  :)
