Not sure what it is in your anatomy units, but I found the following useful for studying anatomy:
- Thieme's anatomy atlases, very nice diagrams especially for MSK and neuroanat
- Netter's clinical anatomy, a small book I could carry around to revise anatomy at my leisure
- For questions (we get no exams either):
http://www.med.umich.edu/lrc/coursepages/m1/anatomy2010/html/index.html (has specimens and quizzes if you navigate through it); "Gray's Anatomy Review" by Abrahams, Carmichael, Colborn and Loukas (questions can get pretty tough)
- For neuroanatomy: "Clinical Neuroanatomy Made Ridiculously Simple" by Goldberg, an absolute gem
- Spending time looking at prosections, didn't find dissections to be useful other than the "wow this is so cool" factor
A lot of the publications are *cough* online *cough* if you know where to look
