Unfortunately students in the BSc are not able to to BMS1031 - this is only available to biomed students!

However, you can do PHS1031 which is very similar (i.e. you'll share most of the lectures and the course content, but PHS1031 do a bit more physics while BMS1031 has a bit of physiology mixed in).

Really? I swear I had a science friend who said she did BMS1031... Maybe it was PHS1031, hahah. Thanks for clarifying alondouek. :)

I've only had a quick read through the topic, but here's my suggestion:

DO NOT TAKE PHS1080 UNLESS YOU THINK YOU MIGHT MAJOR IN PHYSICS.

You said you want to go into dev bio or physiology, so I doubt you'd want to major in physics. PHS1080 is poorly coordinated - I hate it, hated most of the time I spent in it, am not continuing on to PHS1022, and neither are any of the people I have spoken to in the unit (even though they originally planned to). If you want to go into dev bio or physiology and also want to do a physics unit, might I suggest the biophysics unit instead - BMS1031? It's probably a lot more relevant, and can't be half as bad as PHS1080.

Also, if you're worried about fitting in and meeting people, there's always host scheme. They have a mid-year camp (for those with money, hahah) to help you mix and mingle with other new students. There'll be a few people there who have been there since the start, but there should be a few other mid-year entries.

Also, general note for subjects - if there's a 1 on the end of the subject code, the subject is offered in first semester. If there's a 2 on the end, it's offered in second semester. :)
Were you initially planning to do physics minor or major? Just because one unit is poorly coordinated, doesn't mean the other units will be the same. Yes, physics requires a lot of effort but I don't recommend quitting at the start...if you were originally intended to continue on physics, just give it a try..it's the second year where you decide a major in physics(most people don't continue third year physics though due to 5-6 hours of labs)

Nah, I was originally just going to do that and 1022 for a nice basis. Honestly, though, I felt I got nothing out of 1080, which is why I'm not continuing.
