is there any chance to transfer from BoArts to BoEnv?

Hi, I am first year arts student, because I took an environment subject as my breadth first semester, I found thats really interesting. Is there any chance transfer to B of Environment for 2nd semester? What about the requirements?  Do I need to study an extra semester in order to make up the required subject of Envi in 1st semester?

Thanks!!!

Yay! If you got into Arts then you will almost definitely be able to transfer into Environments for 2nd semester (because of the huge difference in required ATAR).

What 4 subjects did you do this semester? Most likely you can credit all the Arts subjects as your 3 level 1 breadth and then your Envs subject as a level 1 elective.

Which major are you intending on doing?

I did psychology, criminology, arts foundation-power and designing environment this semester..I am worried about that there are some requirements of 1st semester grades..like the average of 4 subjects must over 75?

I've been told that they look at your ATAR and/or your 1st semester marks. Even if you're uni average is like an H3 the fact you got (at least) 7 ATAR points higher than the required for BEnvs 85.45 means you should be fine.

http://futurestudents.unimelb.edu.au/admissions/applications/other-applications/mid-year-entry/mid-year_entry_ug-dom

85.45 ATAR + 70% GPA they suggest so I'd say you won't need to worry.

I found that "Mid-year Access Melbourne applications must be submitted using the VTAC SEAS application, which will open on Monday, 14 April 2014 (9.00am) and will close on Friday, 6 June 2014 5.00pm"..Does that mean I miss the chance?

If VTAC applications for midyear already closed you definitely won't be able to transfer, even if you talk to the student centre.
But you will have another opportunity in six months!  Just keep getting rid of some more breadth subjects - do two level 2 subjects next semester so you can cross-credit 6 whole breadth to your degree.  Or just do one, and cross-credit 4 - that's still a whole semester you can save!  Alternatively, do some Environments breadths as a part of Arts next semester and you can cross-credit those later on (probably more useful to do a combination of both of those things...so like 50% Env 50% Arts).

Is it possible to do level 2 subjects in first year without having completed credit points at high school level?

In semester two, you only need to have done 50 points of Lv1 to enter most Lv2 subjects; many also lack prerequisites, especially in Arts, so you should be able to find some nice Lv2 classes to take :)

Don't see why not as long as it's allowed...are you allowed to take 75% coursework in another discipline at once?
