Victoria Unversity Extension Program ?

Has anyone heard of this? There isn't much information on the site, but wouldn't it be easier to get 5 or 5.5 as the courses require 50~70 ENTER scores?
Because basically, it's not as difficult as Melb or Monash.

lol VU, heard of, but don't know anyone's who's done it.
1. Do the offered subjects interest you? Honestly think you should only do extension if you care about the subject, not just for getting the 5/5.5. But yeah, if it doesn't interest you, you'll struggle to cope with learning new material/attending classes which subsequently might cause you to get 0 or scrape a 4 (It's not even that hard to get a 5.0 at Monash to be honest, you just need distinction average). You'll also be intensely disatisfied/distressed if you hate it and this mood might affect studying for your other subjects.
2. Location - would you be able to access the teaching place? How far/how much time wasted/will you be too tired?
3. Quality of the program and facilities offered. *I shall refrain from Group of 8 snobbery and stereotypical comments about drug dealers that may offend people*
4. Credit - you probably won't get credit at Monash or Melbourne for VU extension subjects, since they don't usually see VU as an equivalent.

Not as difficult = not as intellectually stimulating = defeats the purpose of the program.

1. They do not even have what subjects are available or anything on the website, i emailed them in hope to get a brochure of some sort. I was just wondering if anyone else has done it before so i don't have to rely totally on what they say. Is melbourne more difficult than monash? or are they meant to be the same?
2. The location is more convenient than Monash or Melbourne (not so much though) which is really good.

Isn't it referred to as a "Super Tafe"

EDIT: this sentence looks horrible...almost retarded.

I remember looking into it. From memory they have a fairly limited subject range.

They don't even list the subjects on the website >.> nor is there any links to a brochure.

Yeah i emailed a few days ago.. I'll just have to wait for a reply. The VCAA had a link to their extension page on the website, which now doesn't work.hmm all that remains is a short paragraph to email them for information.

Bio/Chem/Psych -- turns out their locations are really inconvenient for me. So i'm not going to look into it at all. Monash chem i am most likely going to go with now. Thanks anyway everyone in this thread!
