So now that everything's wrapping up for this year (mostly), what's everyone's plans for the holidays?

I'm going flake out and catch up on some books I haven't gotten around to reading yet because I'm hopeless at juggling a school text with any other books.  ::)

Yes we're nearly done!! Last exam tomorrow then a whole 7 days off til a week of headstart :)
No major plans for the holidays, hoping to rearrange my room a bit, got an eye surgery sometime ( :'( ) mostly going to try getting a strong headstart on biology and spesh! definitely catching up with old friends too, which brings me to ask:
*****DOES ANYONE HERE WANT TO HAVE A MEET UP BEFORE YEAR 12?? You're all really lovely people and I want to meet you guys and just like chill and get to know the family of 2016 before year 12 starts.. anyone up for it??*****

also catching up on reading for sure, doing english language so got no other texts! Anyone know All Books 4 Less? It was a bookstore that sold uncommon titles for like $3 near my dad's work, so we used to head down there and I got so many books.. now I've got about 30 novels unread that I need to get through! #life'slibrary.. anyone like John Green?

AND YES Peanut Butter, I am so looking forward to orientation! of course it's going to be tough, but hoping to really work hard and reap those rewards at the end! wishing all of you the very best with that :)
we've got a "compulsory" year 12 camp, which is the first time they've run something like this for year 12, in the city for three days at the start of next year. really looking forward to it! deciding on activities for the year and whatnot :)

anyone else got some exciting stuff planned for next year or the holidays?

Depends on where it is! I'd totally be up for it if we could get enough people to come along, though :)

Nah, I've never heard of that place. I do love uncommon books though, I've started a collection of antiques that are out of print (to go along with my collection of different covers/editions of Tolkien's works ::) ); I recently picked up an old medical dictionary from around 1920 that had notes written all through it (for 50c even! Christmas came early this year ;) ). Haven't actually read any of John Green's books but I'm a huge fan of Crash Course, if that counts?

That sounds like fun! Other than occasional studying (except probably not), I plan to do a major upgrade on my PC and really get into some of the newer realeased titles my current build can't handle, and also read a bunch.

Speaking of reading, I finally got my booklist and it looks like we're doing Antony and Cleopatra, Open Ground (poem collection), Best Australian Stories and Heart of darkness for literature. Anyone else got those?

Cool, we're doing The Turn of The Screw, The Best Australian Stories, Selected Poems (Robert Browning), Heart of Darkness and Coriolanus at my school.

And we started our orientation week today ahhh it only feels like a month ago that I was sitting in our orientation week for 2015.
