OMG I'm gone for like one day and there's 30 new replies D:
SORRY FOR THE SUPER LONG MESSAGE GUYS!
Yeah the UMAT thing looks pretty good but shit that's expensive.. I don't think my parents would want to pay that much and I sure as hell can NOT afford it D: sucks, seemed like a good package.
Had my first day of headstart today!! Only had three classes and I feel like I'm drowning. English Language is so tough my god XD we had a crap teacher and learnt nothing for sem1, then got a good teacher who knew nothing about the course for sem2.. none of our teachers want to teach year 12 so we don't even have a teacher yet, struggling like crazy to feel confident!
Spesh is killing me.. In one hour, my teacher covered an intro, guidelines on a bound reference, topic overview and changes to the study design, circles, ellipses, asymptotes, rectangular hyperbola and non-rectangular hyperbola... IT IS TOO INTENSE I'M SCARED GUYS. Further be my only saving grace but ugh, I haven't looked at this stuff in three years its hard

As for the discussion on bound references I thought I'd add my 2c.. I completed methods this year but I didn't prioritise a bound reference. For methods and spesh, I take my teachers notes in one book, then copy them out into a new book at home. I'm not a strong student so this helps enhance and solidify my understanding, and I also redo not copy the examples, because I often don't understand them first time round in class.
For methods, I copied out all my notes, then added in extra examples and cut out exam questions I didn't know and pasted them in. For spesh as well I will do this. For further, its my easy subject and I can't be bothered, so I'm just going to take my teacher's notes in class because you get notes with like everything anyway and I won't have time to copy them again. They should be comprehensive enough.
Another thing I do, is when doing practice exams I make a log book of errors, and I write out a checklist of things I should ensure in my answers (give units, correct rounding etc) and a list of most common/avoidable errors at the start or end (an easily accessible location) of my book, which I think is really important/helpful if you don't really need that much content in your notes.
I think loose leaf is a really good idea though if you don't want to copy out notes/don't have time. Exercise books are tough because for the exam a lot of people like altering their notes/the order/adding content/examples. I think for sacs you can just staple your notes and they are easy to take out for compilation and bounding in any way you wish for the end of year exam. Actually someone clarify:- are stapled notes allowed as reference in SACs?
