how come you have holiday classes? like do u go to school during the holidays?

yes! it's like 3 hours per subject ! i have to go in Monday, Tuesday,Wednesday, and Friday for the first week and tuesday for the second week! My teachers said they're mandatory and that it will literally be like normal class where they teach you the content etc.

When you think about it though, it's nice that they're dedicating time to help you out with your studies when they could just as easily be having time off. Year 12 is only one year, you'll have plenty of holidays when you get to uni (not to mention the massive summer break you'll get after you finish Year 12!)

aha tbh I think it's a bad idea - holidays are a time where you a) relax and b) do some self study. What's the point of holidays if you're just going to have class lol.
Holidays should be a time where a person focuses on their own strengths and weaknesses and does what is required for their own specific needs.. I guess the class would be helpful if you had a lot of classmates who wont study during holidays

Gotta start studying tomorrow though, like if you don't start your holidays out with the right balance, you usually just do nothing for two weeks.

we have classes like those- except they run them after school- tbh i'd probs rather them in the holidays, rather than  8/9 hr school days- which is whats gonna be happening...lucky u guys who are on holidays- i still have 2 weeks of school to go before i start holidays :( i prefer self studying, but i wish i could have someone with me all the time so i could ask them to help me on questions as i do them... when will they invent affordable robots? haha

Whoa.... GUYS. HOLIDAYS ARE SACROSANCT. They should not be disturbed by compulsory classes. They're instead a time to cram/study and cry about life. More so the former than the latter. We only have two weeks of classes (3 hour cram sessions for every subject and 5 sets of those 3 hour sessions for English ( >:() in the break between Term 3 and Term 4.

To be fair though, I'm that person who's picking up a legal studies exam preparation class that's running at my school for selected students and will officially be getting to school super early on Wednesdays. Goodbye sleep! I'll see you in 212 days (or thereabouts)!

Bit bored in Y11, anything you guys really wish you did in Y11 in preparation for Y12 or things you are now unable to do for the rest of the year?

And anyone doing anything exciting this Easter?

Happy Easter All
