I'm not associated with them but I've been a couple of before, and I can tell you they're somewhere between brilliant and insanely brilliant.  They're not those useless 'study tips' thingos that TSFX and shit do.  They're very subject-specific lectures delivered by... kind of insanely brilliant lecturers.

tl;dr: you don't have to go.  Your loss.  A seat free for someone else. ;)

I made a naive mistake last year when I didn't know who they were...they lured me in at a careers expo. I liken it to when Hansel & Gretel were lured to the witch's gingerbread house. I unsubscribed from their emails when I saw how often they sent them...now they send me mail and nothing they send me has any fine print at the bottom about how to unsubscribe from snail mail...

Let's just hope they stop sending stuff after this year is over :-X

I'll confirm that - they haven't sent me anything since my exams in November. (I *think* it is TSFX. Anyway, I'm glad AN doesn't adopt that kind of marketing strategy.)

All TSFX and letters from other lecture companies go straight to recycling unopened. Does that make me a bad person?

I sorta just feel bad for the poor trees that I unknowingly killed by giving these companies my details...

Nope :) I'll be honest and say that kind of marketing just makes TSFX seem all the more disreputable since I never actually went to any of their stuff

the mail and emails should stop once you finish Year 12, I haven't received anything from them since last year (well lets hope it stays that way...)

I signed up last year for a free biology practice exam (which they never sent me), and I'm still regularly getting their letters/promotions  >:(
