I did the unit second semester last year - Accounting information systems and financial modelling (AFC2851, it was AFF2851 when I did it). From my experience, the unit isn't that great. I only did the unit because it was a requirement for an Accounting major; the unit teaches you the basics of Microsoft Excel - how to apply formulas, search functions, data flow diagrams and so forth. I bought the prescribed textbook and didn't use it at all, besides maybe once or twice during SWOTVAC. I didn't really find the content all that interesting - it seemed more relevant to IT than Accounting, but as long as you follow the lecture slides (these were over 100 slides some weeks) and know what's going in the tutorials, the unit isn't too difficult. You'll be in computer labs a lot, and a lot of the content is essentially memorising information.
