Ops might be able to print it but 200 pages is a lot/would also take some time. Maybe make a post on the Facebook page ASAP, and hopefully someone will make the relevant arrangements. Or email the directors.

Awks I just sent them a similar amount to print via email :3 It is just a once-off though haha

I just emailed the directors, and asked that if there are any problems that they contact me ASAP.

If you need confirmation pretty soon, try the Facebook page. They're pretty swamped with e-mails so they take a fair while to get back (e.g. I e-mailed them Friday and haven't heard back yet) :)

Haha it'll probably be fine, I just don't want for anyone to contact OPs thinking that they'll definitely print it and then be disappointed if they can't. In general though I've found that if I ask for something well ahead of time someone at VCESS is usually able to sort it out (which you guys are doing now!).

In case anyone isn't part of the Facebook group for tutors, make sure to join it here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/307552246097334/345367918982433/

There's heaps of important information circulated by the directors and other team leaders, as well as questions asked by other tutors with answers you might need!

Mine got approved too! :D Although I had to merge all my files into a single document (fair enough).

Hey everyone, glad to hear that we're all super excited for VCESS, and that you guys are being so prepared for your classes - trust me, the kids will see the benefit of your preparation. Just a couple of quick notes from the Directors:
- As Mr T-Rav pointed out, we're currently super swamped with emails. Apologies if we haven't been replying to them (especially Cam, who's dealing with all the student requests and a lot of tutor requests as well), but it is literally a case of not having time to reply to everyone. As such, please assume your emails are being read and don't take it to heart if you haven't received a reply straight away.
- As far as printing study materials goes, it is something that the Operations team can handle, but please bear in mind that they'll be EXTREMELY busy tomorrow (probably even busier than the Directors) sorting out the registration of students, the printing of timetables, checking classes and generally checking up on all the students (and tutors) who haven't bothered to communicate with us and are now behind the 8-ball as a result. If you need to print things for your classes tomorrow, please prepare them beforehand and take them to the Operations team during the lunch hour if you're in block 1, or the hour before your class otherwise - it'll be when their office is quieter and when there are less likely to be other things more deserving of their time. As with everything at VCESS, please let them know you'll be coming (I'd take the time to write an email asking their permission) and you'll have a much greater chance of a positive result.
- AN will probably not be a major forum for communication between tutors and Directors during the program - I basically just opened up this thread on a hunch tonight just in case. If you have a question that you think only the Directors can answer, please email us at [email protected]. If you have a question you think one of the other tutors in the program can answer, please direct it to the Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/307552246097334/).
TL;DR Directors are too busy to reply to emails (for now), please be nice to Ops regarding printing study materials, and don't rely on this thread to get your questions answered by Directors.

If you see a bearded fellow quietly chuckling in the back of your next class, ignore him.

I thought it might be a good idea to have the students sit down and work on something as they walked into the class, thinking that perhaps they would be a bit too energetic or excited from all the fun. In hindsight, it was the worst thing I could've done - nobody laughed at my jokes, answered any questions or talked to each other. Even the ice-breaker was a bit of a flop. -.- I guess I shouldn't base my vision of a class on what they were like for me at my school. XD Time to bring out the big guns: group games, quizzes, and chocolate. :D
