I feel like i hardly do anything. My resume sucks. What do you guys do? Has anyone done volunteer work through the uni? whats it like? I need to improve my resume.

I have a job which is related to what I'd like to do when I finish my degree, so that's an extracurricular I guess. If you're in first year, it can be difficult to find stuff like this, but keep an eye out in later years.

In the past, I've done some volunteer tutoring and paid tutoring + more stuff in high school (although who cares about that now, I guess.)

on club committee, do nothing. if you're in commerce maybe you should try get into those data entry jobs adverted on unimelb careers online. if you can't even get into that you can do volunteer data entry as a stepping stone.

I'm a student representative for the maths/stats faculty at RMIT. I don't really do much except attend 2 meetings per semester and occassionally consult with my classmates to get ideas about improving the course/program structure.
I was also a student rep for calculus 2 at Melbourne Uni... for a very brief term.
And I work about 20-25 hours per week delivering pizzas.
I don't do any exercise though, and I stopped going to the gym in February, which is something I kind of regret.

I'm a youth leader at my church, it's one of the biggest churches in Australia so we have around 250 kids come every friday so it's a pretty big commitment. It's a pretty choccers commitment, I'm usually there at 1pm Friday afternoon all the way till 11. But it's got its benefits

With extracurricular activities, I think that the best thing to do is to just try to get involved in anything that interests you. This could mean joining a club, society or group at university. You may also consider volunteering in an area that you may want to specialise in the future or interested in. Hope that helps.
