Any hope for a 87th percentile? Also are the 3 sections weighted equally? My section 3 was horrid but the rest was alright.

hey guys
i got like 20percentile  >:(   crying right now
is it worth asking for a remark??
I studied for like 6 months for this test
was getting like 80%-90% answers right in the acer umat practice tests and was fairly confident and calm during the test guessed about 5 questions.

76th percentile any chance

My brother got 76th percentile in 2012 graduating with an ATAR of 99.90 but he didn't receive an offer to Monash.

Meanwhile I got 68th percentile which I'm satisfied with considering I didn't do prep and it's enough to get into UTAS for Tassie leavers :)
2014: 99.95 ATAR (TCE)

2018-2021: DDS or MD @ UoM

if you really think you honestly did better on the test and your practice tests are pretty high then you should ask for a remark, it may also be a system error? contact them  :D good luck

Hi everyone,

81 Percentile for me. I've heard stories of people from regional schools getting in with an ATAR of 96, and UMAT of 65 at monash med. The people that did were amazing and would have blitzed the interviews though.

I had 75th last year and managed an interview at monash. That being said, with umats between low seventies and mid eighties, youd probably want a very high atar to compensate. Monash have changed the way they go about selections for interviews, so dont feel terribly disheartened with a umat within the range i just mentioned. I know that might be hard at this point (trust me, i get the feeling), but its important to try and move on as quick as possible as there is vce to still focus and do your best on; you dont want to let all the work youve done over this last year to go down the drain. And after all, as cliche as it sounds, there are still options out there like jcu, particularly for those who wouldnt mind going interstate to study.

I've searched around the web and have not heard of anyone's remarked tests changing their results. Perhaps you accidentally filled in the wrong rows?  :-\

if you get 98->100 percentile, what atar can you get and still have a good/decent chance of getting into med? will 96 do

My friend got 100 percentile with a mid-97 ATAR and made it into undergraduate Medicine (2013 entry and not rural). If you were rural or had SEAS then possibly though you still need to be good at the interview/MMI too!

if you do bad at the umat you can still do undergrad biomed/sci and get into med after right?
Yes you can (provided you get the required ATAR and do the right prerequisites). Still need to take the GAMSAT and if you get a high score (with a high GPA) then you need to sit an interview as well (or MMI for short). if you're doing BSc then make sure you do the required units since there's prerequisites in order to sit the GAMSAT!
