Congrats to everyone who are pleased with their scores, condolences to those who aren't. Just wanted to remind you all - particularly those who scored well but are unsure if they scored well enough -all that's left to do is keep working on what you can control - consistent and robust effort towards your ATAR. To those who have essentially no hope of undergraduate medicine in 2015, lick your wounds but continue on your way all the same, keeping in mind that if you still want to do medicine then there are still opportunities available.

Well done to all and good luck for the rest of your year :)
✌️just do what makes you happy ✌️

My friend got 100 percentile with a mid-97 ATAR and made it into undergraduate Medicine (2013 entry and not rural). If you were rural or had SEAS then possibly though you still need to be good at the interview/MMI too!
Yes you can (provided you get the required ATAR and do the right prerequisites). Still need to take the GAMSAT and if you get a high score (with a high GPA) then you need to sit an interview as well (or MMI for short). if you're doing BSc then make sure you do the required units since there's prerequisites in order to sit the GAMSAT!
Thank you.

There are no pre-reqs for GAMSAT, you can self-study the science section but you don't NEED to enrol in certain subjects
2012 ATAR: 99.20
2013-2015: Bachelor of Biomedicine (Microbiology/Immunology: Infections and Immunity) at The University of Melbourne
2016-2019: Doctor of Medicine (MD4) at The University of Melbourne

If I decide to do the BComm at UniMelb with an intention of going into engineering (masters) and picking engineering subjects as breadth, does that mean I can still apply for post-grad med?

Any hope for a 87th percentile? Also are the 3 sections weighted equally? My section 3 was horrid but the rest was alright.

You've definitely got a shot at Monash :)
2012-2013: VCE - Biology [50]
2015-2017: Bachelor of Science (Pharmacology & Physiology) @ Monash
2018-2021: Doctor of Medicine @ Melbourne

Tutoring Biology in 2019. Send me a PM if you're interested! :)

At Deakin yes, but not at Melb or Monash Gippsland. Melb requires that you do anatomy, physiology and biochemistry at Year 2 level, and Monash Gippsland does NOT take (from 2017 onwards) anyone who didn't do their undergrad at Monash.

Congrats everyone!

My results were:
S1: 58
S2: 56
S3: 56

Overall: 169
Percentile rank: 78th

Has anyone had luck with UQ or Griffith with an OP1 or equivalent ATAR?

Does anyone know how beneficial having SEAS/EAS is in getting an interview? I've got a small degree of financial disadvantage and I was wondering if that'd help.

Considering my UMAT was crap, should I take undergrad med as first preference off my VTAC course list?
As it simply takes space or should I keep it there for any chance of round 2's or something

If your UMAT individual section scores are above 50 raw then I'd suggest to leave them in where you originally put them. The 50-50-50 minimum rule is standard at almost every university offering undergraduate medicine. If its below 50 (as in my case), it is extremely extremely unlikely that you will get an offer (according to my careers co-ordinator).

That's brutal considering you got 99! Does anybody know which universities specifically go by the 50:50:50 rule other than UNSW and Monash? I got above 50:50:50 but then again I only got 87.

Almost every university other than JCU and Bond University from my knowledge. 87 is more than enough, now you need to work on your ATAR
