ok cool...so when the prompt says life changes, you can talk about the losses that one experiences throughout life.
In the lions bride- there is a loss of independence for women
In the Park- there is a loss of identity
When you say father and child, are you referring to "Barn Owl" and "Nightfall"? If yes, there is a loss of innocence that occurs in the Barn Owl as the girl realizes that death is not "clean and final" as she once expected. However there is a clear contrast with Nightfall as the girl (now woman) realizes that power is not the most important thing in life- it is trying to maintain relationships with others.
Now you can talk about what these losses do to a person...for example, we have also studied "Slate" which is about the power imbalances within a classroom. The loss of ones power, is beneficial to the class showing that it is a positive consequence.
However, a loss of innocence is a negative consequence- resulting in grief as it is permanent and effects the ways that people behave to each other.
