I wish everyone doing the exam tomorrow all the best ;)

Remember - have an exam strategy and stick to it. Don't spend too much time on your first essay. Don't be worried if you get stuck at some point in an essay (it happened to me, too); if you do, work through it. Put as much energy into the essays and, above all, write your hearts out.

It helps to be in a passionate/invigorated state for the exam. I suggest listening to some music that gets you 'pumped'. This gets me going- I listened to it before I 'went in':

Be profound, everyone, and, most of all, be sophisticated!

Thanks for your advice kandinsky, it has been really revealing. I don't think that many people understand the prompt that well, and I didn't either before reading your guide, so thanks a lot. Also, I'm just wondering; did you write 'Student Example 2' on Blake in the 2013 examination report? It basically follows your espoused style to a T.

Thanks, glad you found it helpful.

Nope, I didn't write on Blake :) The examiners really like that style. That said, the essays in the examiner's report aren't usually by students who get really really high marks - VCAA is so mean.
