cramming
lol
In uni with the pace of subjects you sort of have to cram.
Is this with all your subjects? Are there any which are less full on?
I "think" the UoM breadth subjects aren't as full on as normal uni subjects. With uni subjects though you will expect a much faster pace than VCE subjects. Calc 1 in UoM will try and teach students the important parts of Specialist maths in 14 weeks.
The fact is that you have lectures to give you all the information and then you must use that information to do study and understand concepts in that subject. So this extra pressure on you to be independent and the fact that lecturers have to go through the whole subject in 12-14 weeks will make the pace a lot faster.
I don't think there are many subjects which aren't "full on" - for law they expect 5 hours of work for every contact hour, and 3-4 hours for each arts subject contact hour - and they will go at a pace according to that
5 hours per contact hour is pretty intense! How many contact hours do you have?
I think that we were told an hour to two hours per contact hour.
